Colour Mixing painting course (Munsell method) - Lisbon

126,00€Preço

Duration: 14 hours.

This introductory module on colour mixing will use the Munsell Method, which systematises all knowledge of paint use from the early 20th century. We will use techniques similar to those employed by José Malhoa or Silva Porto.

About the instructor: Nelson Ferreira specialises in the techniques of the old European masters (15th-century Early Flemish painting methods, as well as 19th-century academic drawing and painting). He has twice been invited by the National Portrait Gallery, notably to teach Renaissance drawing techniques during the exhibition of drawings by Holbein and Leonardo da Vinci. He is a guest lecturer at various museums and universities. He trains artists at Walt Disney, teaching drawing and painting to the Industrial Light & Magic teams in North America, Singapore and the UK. He has held solo exhibitions at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Monastery of Batalha and the Soares dos Reis National Museum. He was the first artist to hold a solo exhibition in the entire history of Borobudur (the world’s largest Buddhist temple, dating back 1,200 years, and Indonesia’s most visited monument). He was also the first ever to undertake an official artist residency at Angkor Wat.
